Main aims Political FEULAT 2009

The meeting seeks to generate spaces for cooperation in view of the preparation of the youth impact in the EU-LAC Summit 2010

The main outcome of previous years FEULAT (Political Track) was the establishment of a general outline for policy co-operation based on three main thematic priorities: Youth Rights; Education; and Participation. The institutional spaces identified for common action on these themes were the ratification process of the Ibero-American Convention on Youth Rights, the bi-regional relations between EU-Latin American and the Caribbean , and the United Nations.

2009 is the crucial year to get youth organisations prepared to make an impact in the process of the EU-LAC Summit 2010, which will be held under the Spanish Presidency of the European Union.
