Feulat 2006´s Presentation
The Euro-Latin American Youth Forum (FEULAT 2006) is an event organised by the European Youth Forum (YFJ) and the Latin American Youth Forum (FLAJ), and with the support of the Spanish Youth Institute (INJUVE) and the Ibero-American Intergovernmental Organisation (OIJ).
The FEULAT 2006 follows up the results of a 3-year partnership project between the Youth Forum and FLAJ, which was aimed at promoting co-operation between youth organisations in Europe and Latin America as well as at developing youth policies in Latin America, strengthening the youth movement in Latin America and promoting the participation of Latin American youth organizations in the political decision-making process

The FEULAT2006 takes place from 1-8 October in Mollina, Malaga, Spain, in the framework of the 7th University on Youth & Development (link)
Participants
The encounter gathers around 40 youth leaders from the Member Organisations of the youth platforms from Europe and Latin America (YFJ and FLAJ), in the framework of the University on Youth and Development.
Main aims of the event
Provide a space of encounter, exchange and joint reflection between young people from Latin America and Europe;
- Strengthen co-operation between European and Latin American youth organisation and regional platforms;
- Enhance a common working agenda on youth, involving all stakeholders in the Euro-Latin American frame;
What is the content and thematic focus of the event?
Sharing the thematic frame of the University on Youth and Development (‘All Different / All Equal – a youth perspective to global inequalities'), this edition of the FEULAT will focus on three topics which are particularly relevant in the frame of the Euro-Latin-American Youth Co-operation. Thus FEULAT 2006 will be focussed and request participants reflection upon the following thematic areas:
- Non-formal education
- Youth rights and protection mechanisms
- Full and effective participation of young people
